Cedarbrook Worship Sanctuary is committed to making both our chapel and our website usable by every neighbor who wants to take part.
In the building
- The south entrance off Junction Avenue has a poured-concrete ramp and a 36-inch door.
- Two pews in the sanctuary are removed to make space for wheelchairs near the center aisle.
- Large-print orders of worship and large-print Scripture portions are available at the welcome table each Sunday.
- An assistive-listening loop covers the front two-thirds of the sanctuary. Receivers and disposable earpieces are kept in the narthex.
- Two single-stall restrooms on the main floor are wheelchair-accessible.
- A quiet room with a video feed of the service is available for nursing parents and for anyone who needs a lower-stimulation space.
On the website
We build and maintain this site with WCAG 2.1 Level AA as our target. Specifically:
- Semantic HTML and meaningful headings for screen-reader navigation.
- Sufficient color contrast between text and backgrounds.
- Keyboard-operable navigation and visible focus indicators.
- Descriptive alternative text for meaningful images.
- Responsive layout that scales cleanly to small screens and zoomed text.
